This page documents how tenants consent to receive text messages under SquareKeeper's
tenant SMS program, “SquareKeeper Tenant.” It shows the
in-portal opt-in screen and the full program disclosures, and is published as a public
reference for tenants, property administrators, and messaging carriers.
Who receives these messages
Recipients are tenants of commercial properties managed by SquareKeeper's business
customers who have opted in. Messages are property announcements — for example,
building events, parking and road closures, schedule changes, maintenance notices, and
reminders. SquareKeeper does not send marketing, advertising, or promotional messages, and
mobile numbers are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their marketing
purposes.
How consent is collected
There is one opt-in method: a self-service web form in the SquareKeeper Tenant Portal. Each
tenant opts in themselves, explicitly:
- The tenant signs in to their SquareKeeper Tenant Portal account at portal.squarekeeper.com.
- They open Account › Notifications.
- They turn on “Text me when management posts an announcement” — this toggle is off by default — and enter their mobile number.
- They read and agree to the consent disclosure shown on that screen (reproduced below).
- They press Save.
The SMS toggle is unchecked by default; the tenant must actively turn it on and provide a
mobile number. SMS consent is voluntary and is not a condition of tenancy
— the same announcements are also available by email and always appear on the tenant's
portal home. A tenant can opt out at any time by turning the setting off or replying
STOP.
Program disclosures
- Program name: SquareKeeper Tenant.
- Message frequency: varies based on property events; there is no fixed cadence.
- Cost: message and data rates may apply. SquareKeeper does not charge tenants for receiving announcements.
- Opt out: reply STOP to any message, or turn the setting off in the portal, to end all future announcements.
- Help: reply HELP, or email hello@squarekeeper.com.
- Privacy: mobile numbers are used only to deliver these announcements and are not shared with third parties for marketing — see the Privacy Policy §6.

its default off state.
